The different types of MotionTools actions

MotionTools Action is the generic term for designating what is actually performed while executing a binding. You press the Media Button 1 on your mouse and the display is zoomed: pressing the mouse button is an event, zooming the display is a MotionTools Action.

Some of the MotionTools Actions have a very brief one shot effect. For instance, you may bind a Next Page action to an event (e.g. Right Swipe) and your document will simply go to the next page of your document when swiping your mouse to the right.

Some of the MotionTools Actions have a permanent effect until you specifically stop them. For instance, if you bind a Zoom action to the Media Button 1, the display will be zoomed when pressing this button. You may then navigate within your display, change the zoom factor, navigate again. The display will remain zoomed until you press one of the Media Buttons. This type of MotionTools Action is said to be an Interactive Action.
